The Nagaoka N-MP3.5 NMP3.5 stylus is a 78 RPM stylus used in the Nagaoka MP-10 MP10, MP-11 MP11, MP-15 MP15, MP-20 MP20, MP-30 MP30, MP-50 MP50, MP-100 MP100, MP-110 MP110, MP-150 MP150, MP-200 MP200, MP-300 MP300, and MP-500 MP50 phono cartridges. The stylus features a 3.5 mil diamond designed specifically for the correct tracing of the wide grooves of 78 RPM records. It results in minimal groove wear and accurate rendition of voice and music.
A very common misconception is that you can use an LP stylus for playing 78 RPM records. To maintain the playback fidelity of your 78 RPM LP, you really need to use a stylus designed for 78 RPM records. The 3.5 mil stylus is the standard for 78 RPM LP records. For very old and worn records, you will need to use an oversize stylus to obtain the best sound quality.
